The smart money's on Bachelor No 2, but I love Lost in Space so much. But it's hard to miss no matter where you start. I will say that while I like I'm With Stupid a lot, I have met people who don't, and it might put you off of her unfairly, because it's pretty atypical.
Ahhhhh, I will never forget that sweet sweet night when I was 3 feet from her, muttering "uhhhhh, dave from KNOXville" repeatedly.
One thing about that night that I don't think I mentioned; when she was on stage, she seemed very approachable, dressed simply and comfortably. But when she was signing my ticket stub and listening to me mumble "i am on the best show sometimes and in fact i talked to you on the air when you were on with patton and also patton was just here a few weeks back and isn't he nice" she was throwing off BIGTIME rock star vibes. Maybe it was the big sunglasses.

I started with the Magnolia soundtrack myself. That one and Bachelor #2 are good starting points. They share some of the same songs but they are pretty good companion pieces. Lost in Space is also great too.

Bachelor #2!

My hands down favorite is "I'm With Stupid".

"That's Just What You Are" is just such a wonderful song and the album features several other gems as well. It's 15 years old so she's grown as an artist, but it's still a great album.

That's Just What You Are is one of the best songs ever. Ever. You Could Make a Killing is amazing as well.

Thanks for the replies. I'm going to pick up Bachelor no2.

'That's Just What You Are' is indeed a great song. And not just because I'm a sucker for the acoustic guitar+drum loops combo. I remember the video being weird and cool too.

Well, with Aimee Mann, you definitely don't want to start by asking her how it was to work with Rush.

I would also refrain from asking her when she's going back to that asymmetrical quasi-mohawk she wore when she was in Til Tuesday.
