Title: Love Hill
Post by: Jason from Huntsville, AL on February 16, 2011, 06:54:11 PM
Introduced during Auntie Christina's call on the February 15, 2011 broadcast, this is the opposite of the Hate Pit: a place for celebrities who Tom loves.

Current Residents:
Jefferey Tambor (as Hank Kingsley)
Steve Coogan
Dr. Cornel West
Robert Wyatt
Chris Elliott
Henry Rollins.

Note: Despite what you may have heard, it is NOT a Love Grotto (as originally suggested by Jane from Nova Scotia) or a Love Pit (as suggested by Auntie Christina earlier in the call in which Love Hill was born.)

Cornel West? That Christian/Marxist guy?

And star of "The Matrix Revolutions" & "The Matrix Reloaded."

Show some respect.

Hey, lets give credit where credit is due....its Love Grotto as per Jane from Nova Scotia's call...it was her first call by the way. For some strange reason Tom didn't like this concept, but Ms. Aimee Mann LOVED IT. Then he wimped out with Love Hill, which sounds like a Ricky (emphasis on Ricky) Nelson song. Jason, please make appropriate changes.

I would include:

Ms. Aimee Mann
Vivian Girls
Pepperidge Farm Coconut Cakes
Pepperidge Farm Chocolate Fudge Cakes
Pepperidge Farm Devil's Food Cakes

Is there anything keeping you from condensing all of that (including Aimee Mann and Vivian Girls) into just one Pepperidge Farm entry?

I see by your stereo screensavers that you are not a fan of variety.

No disrespect to Jane from Nova Scotia, but it's not Best Show Canon unless it comes out of Tom's mouth. Tom says Hill, so it's Hill.

I'm sure Ms. Aimee Mann will find her way to the Hill via the official channels, but don't push your corporate snack cookie agenda up on the Love Hill. Vivian Girls will have to rise of fall on their own merits.

You're not the gatekeeper of Love Hill! How dare you!

Go back to your Grotto, you troglodyte!

I will...the love grotto...

BTW, I believe P. Farm cakes are made by elves...it's not corporate, its magical.

I'm going to point out that I said love pit, and Tom amended that to "hill", right? So now ... is a grotto above ground or below?

QED.

Crack a cookie box much? That's Keebler that's made by elves.

All them Pepperidge Chocolate FUDGE Cakes are rotting your brain, son.

P.S.: I'm glad we're keeping it so civil here in the Love Hill thread.

I'm pretty sure the elves are behind Pepperidge Farms delicacies.

Love Hill makes me think of The Replacements' Buck Hill.

Nothing wrong with that.

I appreciate the spirit of Jane from Nova Scotia's suggestion ... but unfortunately, Hugh Hefner has forever tainted the word "grotto".

Hugh has tainted the word grotto but people here in NS are cool with it.  In the grotto or hill I would include:

Ms. Amiee Mann
whoever created the, Walking Dead, series.
gypsy music
Bachman Turner Overweight
sweets of any kind except strawberry flavor
Stan Rogers

I hope the controversy between LA Times/KPCC reporter Patt Morrison and Love Hill Alumni Zooey Deschanel is talked about on tonight's installment of The Best Show!
