Title: Wanna help out WFMU during the marathon?
Post by: Christina on February 23, 2011, 04:45:54 PM
They're still looking for some help during the following shifts:

MONDAY Feb 28, 6-8pm, 9pm-midnite
SATURDAY Mar 5, 9-11am
SUNDAY Mar 6, 9pm-midnite
SATURDAY Mar 12, 9-11am
SUNDAY Mar 13, noon-3pm, 3-5pm, 9pm-1am (at WFMU, while the finale party's going on at Maxwell's)

Contact Scott <scott@wfmu.org>.

They're also in need of food duties, if anyone wants to cook or make food for the volunteers. It's big fun! I can't do any of these times, otherwise I would do it in a second.

I was so close to making it out to work phones during marathon this year! So close! I just couldn't schedule it to work out in my favor. Maybe next year!

Do the overnight shows not do fundraising? Those are the only ones I could swing.

They do. I'll be there for Therese's one marathon show: March 6 12am-3am.

But Auntie Christina's list suggests no graveyard shows are open!  Does that means that they have those shifts covered for the marathon? Wow. Not what I expected.

I'll be working the phone room for The Best Show on March 1st. My 3rd year in a row. Looking forward to it.

Your pictures are becoming a nice--and much appreciated-- marathon tradition, too.

Instead of manning the phones I'm helping out with the WFMU twitter during the marathon - especially during the night hours in America.

I know this post is about actual work at the station, but I made a Best Show marathon flyer that I thought we can pass around on twitter (or any other online forum), try to get the word out as much as possible.

I've just pledged via the website, paid via Paypal and selected the Best Show pack; is that all I need to do for it to go down as a Best Show pledge, or do I still need to email Tom?

I think you need to email Tom so he can total it for the Best Show.

Oops, I pledged online too (can't during the show) and it just occurred to me that Tom probably meant to send him the info now so it could be submitted like a phone pledge and paid later.
