To my mind, there is only one name synonymous with good bad actor:

Michael Rappaport

In good projects (True Romance, Zebrahead) and bad projects (about everything else), M-Rap brings the exact same game, night in and night out.
His consistency amazes me. He's the Cal Ripken of shitty actors.

Anyone ever see Raps on IFC's Favreau-curated* Dinner for Five show?  Classic Raps.  He was on two episodes:

1. Faizon Love/Sarah Silverman/Saffron Burrows/Raps

2. Timmy von Olyphant/Jay Mohr/David Milch/Raps  (one of the best things to air on television in the last few years)

He was supposed to be on another episode, but Ted Demme collapsed just prior to the taping, so it was Dinner for Four: Daryl Hannah, Andy Dick, and Brian Warner.

*Favreau is reportedly curating a music festival called Swingers on the Sunset Strip to take place in L.A. this fall.  I hope he can convince the original lineup of Dokken to reunite.  Not likely!  The Don Dokken-George Lynch friction is still white-hot per the new issue of Metal Edge

The Shat definetly deserves to be on this list. Everyone is familiar with his TV work, but his film work aint half bad either. If your a fan of ham and cheese like me.

Try Incubus, pre-Star Trek. Or Big Bad Mama and especially The Devil's Rain, post-Star Trek.

And as far as Swayze, he's gotta be the best as pointed out by kenkwan.

How can you go wrong with grindhouse masterpieces like Roadhouse, Point Break, Red Dawn and Black Dog?

"Feel what the wave is doing, then accept its energy." - Swayze

kurt russell is a no brainer, but his good-bad actorness has been tarnished with self-awareness now that he's appeared in Grindhouse.

You think he's bad in How to Get Ahead in Advertising?

What about The Age of Innocence? He was appropriately slimy in it.

I humbly nominate David Naughton, star of "Makin' It" and "Hotdog: The Movie."

I long to see a Wild Hogs-esque road movie starring Eric Roberts, Jan-Michael Vincent, and Richard Tyson. Although I guess you could just get Mickey Rourke to play all three and it would still work.

Yes I do think that and deep down, if you look in your heart, you think that too.

Bruce Campbell. Particularly in Bubba Ho-tep. I love that movie.
