. . . what did you think of Werner Herzog's turn on The Simpsons last night?
-
Missed it. Was it good?
-
He was pretty funny.
-
I didn't see it, but it seems like Simpson-izing him would make him look just like the news anchor on the show.

From a new Guardian profile (http://www.guardian.co.uk/film/2011/mar/05/werner-herzog-cave-of-forgotten-dreams):
"I was very surprised when they approached me because I thought The Simpsons was a newspaper cartoon. So when they called, I said, 'Do a voice? I don't understand, it's a TV programme?' They thought I was joking," he continues, chuckling, "but I was not."
-
With phrases like "Google eyed fools" I wondered if he wrote some of the dialogue himself.

I call balls on that ... he's only lived in California for a decade or two. Has he never turned on a television that whole time?
-
He was also on an episode of 'The Boondocks' about Obama's election a couple months back. He was narrating a documentary he was making about it. I find myself liking 'The Boondocks' less and less over time, but the Herzog appearance is worth checking out.

He might not have. I barely have, and am not as alienated from modern culture as he is.
