Thought this might be of interest. I wonder how many remakes of the album exist?

It's weird, a few of these came out around the same time. The Aquarium Drunkard blog made one as well, around the same time as TBS did. Actually before.
Ram and Tusk have been wildly covered and celebrated by the indie crowd the past few years.

This is actually really great. Dave Depper is something of a Portland institution. He's played in almost every band in town.
He recently re-recorded the RAM record and put on a show where he played it in its entirety. It was magical.

Oh, and there was that Ram On L.A. record that came out around the same time as the Best Show version that had the Radar Bros. and Broken West on it.

How has Tusk been celebrated, other than the CvB album?

They did a cover night for Tusk here in Philly where it was played in its entirety. I didn't go but I hear a different band played each song and it lasted forever.
RAM on LA was what I was talking about. It was free on Aquarium Drunkard.
