I'm pretty sure I know how this quote really ends, but where did it come from?
-
Well, Andy, it’s really a phrase that goes back to Middle-French.
[circa: 1380]
In Saint Dougaley, France, a young lad, named Crammoria, who’s occupation was that of field-hand, had one day been left in charge of the cattle.
Well, to make a long story short
(Moi ain’t getting’ paid by the word here),
a prized café, name Eine, escaped under a break in the fence causin’ Crammoria to yell
“Zee field is 100% Calf Eine free.”
Stay on groovin' safari,

For shame, Tor. For shame.
