What is everyone watching? Louie is back and as strong as ever and the first episode of Jon Benjamin Has A Van was awesome. Breaking Bad starts mid-July. I didn'
t know about Louie starting back up or JBHAV, anyone have any other summer rec's?

I have missed the mom superhero, Nancy Botwin; her steadfast family values, her ability to provide for and protect her family, and rise above adversity, her luck which gets her out of jams every time. Looking forward to watching Weeds again!

Wipeout Canada: a dude I used to work with is a contestant!

Louie is a must-see. I'm watching Childrens Hospital, JBHAV (even though I think it's hit-and-miss so far). Catching up on Breaking Bad right now - love it.

In retrospect, I really only enjoyed Season 1 of Weeds. The first season (4?) in the San Diego area wasn't that bad. Everything else was more painful than interesting or funny or anything.

Ugly Americans returns on Comedy Central this Thurs. I saw most of season 1 and it was very entertaining.

I know people feel that way about Weeds, but I'm addicted to that show.
TORCHWOOD!!! Russell T Davies! July!

I've been watching lots of C-SPAN.
Yesterday's Congressional hearing on Medicare/Medicaid dual enrollees was the hottest new show of the season.

Is anyone watching Angry Boys? I'm three episodes in and am liking it alot. The S. Mouse character is kind of week but the security guard is hilarious. Any Lilley fans?
I don't think it lies up to Summer Heights High but his stuff is always fun to watch.

I admire his talent, but he makes me cringe.

If anyone is interested, Martin Short will be in the next episode of WEEDS.

I just started watching Torchwood on Starz. Really good so far, if you're into sci-fi.
Louie is awesome. The episode with Joan Rivers is the best it's been this season so far.
Wilfred is weird and cool. Nice lead in to Louie.
This season of Weeds really sucks so far. A suit case full of grenades. Nancy being an awful mother. Nancy being trampy. Yeah, quirky fun! Even Andy and Doug are boring this season.
I just discovered Treme which is pretty great. I watched the first 2/3s of season two so now I have to watch season one. (also way overdue for checking out The Wire)

I am so immersed in all of those USA shows. They're kind of dumb but awesome things to watch when I don't feel like being productive (like Law & Order and especially L&O:SVU). My wife and I really like White Collar and Suits. (The guest "star" of the second episode of Suits was the good guy running back from ESPN's Playmakers. I couldn't believe I recognized that guy.)
The promo for Necessary Roughness was really intriguing but the pilot was pretty bad. The lead actress is so incredibly annoying. They focus the show around her problems -- she caught her husband cheating and is in a heated divorce with him, her kids have issues, financial difficulties, etc. -- which, yes, are rough but also sounds like the parents of 50% of my friends. The troubled football player she's trying to heal was really good. I'd totally watch a show through his point of view, since his problems are actually pretty fascinating.
I also really have to make the leap into FNL for real this time. I watched the show in bits and drabs and kept tabs as to what was going on. I always loved it and thought it was so incredibly well-done. I watched the finale and it was so moving, even though I didn't have the experience of watching it from start-to-finish.

I'm watching Childrens Hospital
I am really in love with this show. It took two tries but I finally got through the first season, which is essentially a collection of shorts. Starting in season 2 each episode is really strong. Heubel and Corrdry are currently at the top of my Favorite Funny People list.
The best exchange between Huebel and Winkler:
Owen: "You know my rule about girls."
Sy: "Yeah, you won't sleep with girls that look like Ray Liotta."
Owen: "Right, and let's face it, she's totes Liotes."
