Title: Official Newbridge Memorabilia
Post by: Mr. Spacely on July 15, 2011, 10:13:40 PM
I'm well aware that there's been plenty of amazing Best Show merchandise and giveaways over the years, but as something of an "annoying complete-ist" (my wife's words), I wanted to find out how many official bits of *Newbridge memorabilia* have been created.

By my count there are (now UPDATED!):

The covers for all S&W albums, including A Vampire or a Dogman, and special 2010 Music Scholar Reprise one-off
The recent trading card set
Neil Numberman's 07-08 show poster
Neil Numberman's '11 "Sgt. Pepper's" poster
The Gorch t-shirt
The Newbridge is for Lovers t-shirt
Captain's Donuts t-shirt (giveaway)
Hippie Johnny pencils (giveaway)
A bumper sticker with the "Sajack Credo"
A Lake Newbridge/or Lake Muck? sticker ("Where Industry and Leisure Collide!")

Although the eBay store name "Vindrewski's Button Emporium" is quite Newbridgian, I feel safe in saying those pins are bootleg.

Re: Pins.
Well that's... weird.

I missed out on it, but I assume elements of The Best Show DVD would classify as Newbridge Memorabilia.

The "Tom & Jon..." shirt is part of the '11 premium pack, too.

Did the Neil Numberman poster of Mike ever get an actual release, or was it just posted on the forum?

Cool, thanks for the replies!

Some of these strike me as more Best Show items, rather than being from the muffler capital of the Quint Cities. Maybe I'm alone (i.e. crazy) in making that distinction, though.

Just got the Gorch shirt in the mail and Tom was kind enough to throw in some swag.  One interesting piece is a Newbridge sticker which shows a skiing man on Lake Newbridge (or Lake Muck?) in front of a Kern plant.  Needless to say, I'm quite happy to turn up yet another piece of Newbridge ephemera.

I don't have that one.

I was just looking at Stereolaffs.com and I noticed this tiny banner:

Which character is this an illustration of, and where does it appear?

That is Radio Hut's Jeff Cooper, on Chain Fights, Beer Busts and Service with a Grin.

Wait a minute, when was Neil's "Sgt Pepper" poster available?

also, I'd kill for a Captain's Doughnuts t-shirt... what does it look like?

Oh, my God, that's glorious! And the shirt is cool, too.

But seriously, folks, are there any Captain's Donuts shirts lying around in a Jersey warehouse/Tom's basement (provided they weren't flooded, of course)?

some things that i dont think anyone has mentioned: the "Newbridge is for Lovers" t shirt, the hippy justice pencils, the Chip Clip, the "at the speed of sound" cd from a few years ago, the ted leo rx / zach galifianakis split 7", and the special Merge XX and Yo La Tengo cds.  (oh man im a super fan....)

the '&' shirt and the st peppers poster are still in the works right?  or have those shipped?

there are also 2 different FOT cards, one on a wood grain background and one on a silver background.

man those Capt Doughnuts t-shirts are awesome.

In 2oo8 Terre T (http://www.flickr.com/photos/jdalton/2324678172/#in/set-72157604085366250/) & Evan "F" Davies (http://www.flickr.com/photos/jdalton/2324672962/#in/set-72157604085366250/) at the Hoof & Mouth were wearing black tanks/t-shirts with THERE WILL BE GOMPS in white There Will Be Blood font

A gray t-shirt with "What's that, Mike?" in blue on the front (unknown when this is originally from)

This N. Numberman poster (http://brianmweaver.com/images/news/best_show.htm) at 13"x19". I think he printed 5 back in 'o7 (http://friendsoftom.com/forum/index.php/topic,1370.0.html). This was before the marathon premium version, and on thick stock paper not a poster.

Some of this stuff I got at the meetup in 2007 (thanks for the Visit Newbridge sticker, KtB):

I also once saw this guy at an airport with a shirt from the place Mother 13 used to go to practice in Newbridge Commons:

My favorite pieces of Newbridgalia are the "Kid Jersey has a Posse" sticker and the "Sajak Credo" sticker

I also like the fact that one of the buttons has "I hope you die in a car fire" written around the rim.

I've got most of those stickers through my t-shirt purchases. I like the Lake Muck (at least, I tell myself it's Lake Muck) one the best.

That "Go Climb a Rock" shirt's just a bootleg/coincidence I take it?

Oh, I also have the Vampire or a Dogman CD with cover art in the Newbridge-style, so I'd count that as NB memorabilia.

Question about the Sajak Credo Sticker: From what call is the kid with a weed whacker?
