Hi Tom,
I humbly submit a request for a track by track smackdown of the new Rush album. It premiered at #3 on the charts, and will slide down to the lower 100s next week. It worked for the Killers, now it's time to move on to bigger fish!
They'll be waiting ...

-
Also, lay the smackdown on Tom Rush.
-
And the movie Rush starring turbodouche Jason Patric.
And Geoffrey Rush ... actually no, I like him
-
San Francisco Rush for N64 rocked.
-
I think Tom should also take on that herbal snake-oil stuff "rush" that's supposed to get you high for 5 minutes in lieu of marijuana. I don't know, i never did it, but kids in high school would and it seemed pretty soft serve.
-
Wow, at first I thought that was Amy Goodman wearing that bass.
-
If Tom does indeed lay the smackdown on Rush, I look forward to a spirited defense of the band by Christina the Rush Fan.
-
AND all of the Canadian FOT will have to jump on board to defend their national heroes

Didn't MIA FOT Gordy try and get Neil PEart to record a bumper for the Best Show, or is that just a figment of my opium ravaged mind?
-
Surely they get a free pass for "Tom Sawyer" and "The Spirit of Radio"? Those songs are awesome. If Tom should stick it to anyone, it's those nerds in Chicago, which, if memory serves, he did. Omar?

Tom has stuck it to those nerds from time to time, although never in an official segment/URR. He has said some positive things about some of their debut album as Chicago Transit Authority (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Chicago_Transit_Authority_%28album%29). He agreed with a caller who said that album was the Best of the Worst for Chicago.

Christina the YES fan is literally yelling at me to write that she is NOT a Rush fan. If, on the other hand, Tom comes after The Soft Machine, he needs to watch his back.

There are few bands more horrifying than YES.

That explains the following picture. Oh, a caveat, before I post the picture: You may want to shield your eyes and/or avoid scrolling down if you value your retinas.

There are few photos more horrifying than Vincent Gallo wearing a YES shirt and Bengal tiger bikini briefs.

Gallo is awesome. BUFFALO '66 is awesome. His use of Yes in BUFFALO '66 is awesome.

Buffalo '66 was okay. It wasn't awful. Gallo, on the other hand, is most definitely a creep. It's hard to tell if it's all an act or if he's just that crazy, but he's certainly entertaining. I mean, as a person. His wacky antics are way more entertaining than any of the movies or songs in his oeuvre. I'm trying to find a website that encapsulates all of the crazy in one handy dandy article (with sources!), but I'm not finding anything comprehensive. Gawker (http://gawker.com/news/vincent-gallo/) will have to do for now. Ooh, wait, never you mind. The "tags" on Gawker aren't completely comprehensive, but their search engine pops out plenty of Gallo craziness (http://gawker.com/search/vincent%20gallo/all/). This one (http://gawker.com/news/notag/vincent-gallos-package-on-ebay-14723.php) is up there in my Top Moments in Gallo History list. I remember finding his feedback page on eBay highly entertaining for some reason, and now I can't remember what his user name was. I'll search a thread on another board.

he kind of looks like omar:

Right on, Omar. I was just listening to Yes today.
Awesome four song playlist:
First Heart Mighty Dawn Dart - T.Rex, Beard of Stars
Earth, Mama, Woman, Girl, Child - Weird War, Illuminated by the Light
Survival - Yes, 1968 BBC Sessions.
Old Jerry - Stephen Malkmus, Pig Lib Bonus EP

Gallo is actually a nice guy. He has developed an incredibly entertaining public persona known as "Vincent Gallo". I would rank Buffalo '66 as one of the 10 best films ever made.
-
Omar is 100% correct.
-
Uhh, Yes is one of those bands I am afraid to admit out loud that I have always liked. Except that I just did.
-
Gallo sucks, Buffallo 66 is ok, Rush sucks, classic era Yes rules.
-
No era of YES rules well maybe Big Generator
-
Rush is awesome, and not just for the Freaks and Geeks reference. Or the Stevbo Malkamus reference. It's okay, I guess everyone else just doesn't get it.
-
So, along with Zappa and Steely Dan, I am a giant Yes fan. Burn their children's laughter on to hell indeed.
-
Gallo sucks, Buffallo 66 is ok, Rush sucks, classic era Yes rules.
What about The Brown Bunny?

I'll field this one: Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks.
And I don't even mean that as an obvious double entendre, it sucks hardcore.
