So, Pawnee is Newbridge.
Think about it; every time the parks staff has to deal with the residents, it's like some weird S&W bit. Sure, the characters aren't as developed because they're quick jokes, but every time they focus on the community--town hall meetings, festivals, "Pawnee Today" I sit there thinking "man, when will there be a scene shot out on Muffler Row?"
Thoughts?

Sorry, but I think the inspiration is just, you know, towns.

I agree, and as someone who most of their waking life in a town I get the quirks and eccentricities of small town living. What I'm saying is that it's a funny thing to recognize the similarities when you're an ardent fan of both shows.
