Title: TBSOWFMU phrases resulting in top google hits
Post by: daveB from Oakland on September 29, 2011, 06:59:18 PM
I thought I'd start a thread conglomerating phrases where google generates top "feeling lucky" results for this site or other Best-Show related sites. For example:

TBSOWFMU

Suck fudge

rattlesnake at a thai wedding

Buffet Wrecker

brian wilson Pleasure Island

Micky Dolenz namaste

... what else?

I admit I completely missed the point of this thread, though in doing so I discovered that one of the "I'm Feeling Lucky" results for "wait what" is the site for a producer that decided it would be a good idea to make a mash-up album that paired Nas and Washed Out. (http://waitwhatmusic.com/)

shop for a coffin

(do that phrase WITHOUT quote marks and Omar the Scrivener's site is the top hit. And if you add the quote marks around it, there's also high placement for a Phish Phan discussion thread (http://phantasytour.com/phish/boards_thread.cgi?threadID=2156126), which contains some other BestShow catchphrases. They're pretty into Bryce over at the Phish forums ...

"Tor Halversom"

It took me a couple extra clicks to convince google that I was not searching for "tor halvorsen".

Searching the names of Wurster characters would be too obvious for this thread, but I'm very intrigued by the Newbridge denizens who are frequently mentioned, but don't make actual appearances. Although it would be awesome if Sheila called in at some point. I recall that Jon called in as Roy's wife quite some time ago. Anybody know what show that was?

This makes me so happy. This was the kind of thing I was aiming for when I started this thread. Magical combinations of elemental words. "Hi, I'm Dennis" also worked out very well.

(it seems like some kind of deeper tragedy or failure of the google search engine that "half man part party machine" doesn't bring up any Best Show link on the first page.)

That's cause the actual line is "half animal part party machine," which yields not only Google autofill when you get to "part," but a Best Show-dominated first page. Win.
