Title: Friends of Tom Membership Cards?

I got some guff from John Hodgman for not having a FOT membership card yesterday, but he didn't know how to get one either. Do they actually exist? Is this some giant inside joke/secret society/conspiracy theory that I'm not a part of? I've been listening for a little over a year now and I hadn't heard anything about them until this tour.

My walls look like A Beautiful Mind right now. Someone please help me get to the bottom of this.

As far as I know the last time FOT cards were available was during the 2008 marathon, as part of the prize pack. I got mine then, having just started listening.  Before that I think Tom stopped official production at least a year or two earlier.

No, they come with swag now, and I even got one with a Stereolaffs order.  He doesn't fill them out any more, though, and the design is silver/metallic instead of wood-paneled.

A little while back, Sparkiepop announced on the board that there were some printed and ready to go out and she asked if anyone needed one. That's when I got mine. It's paper, not one of the silver ones.

Also, I think you can pick them up at participating Footlocker Jive Turkeys.
