Title: To Rick from Philly

Veronica Mars is a fantastic show! How dare you compare One Tree Hill and Veronica Mars.

I know, it's awesome! Do you hear East River Pipe on any other CW drama? NO, YOU DON'T!

I loved Courtney Taylor-Taylor's guest appearance last season. That was awesome.

Actually I loved when they played of all things Space Needle.

Not to mention Paul Rudd! Even if that episode was not so good. Veronica Mars is the only show I make sure to watch/tape every week. I wish that the CW would wise up, and stop mismatching the show with shows. (Gilmore Girls, America's Next Top Model) I haven't seen Supernatural at all, but that would seem to be a better fit.

I think they also played Vehicle Flips, which made me happy.

I guess my point was/is, Veronica Mars -- while probably better than most TV shows -- is not QUITE good enough to warrant the amount of time I've invested in it.  I coulda been working on my experimental poetry!

Also, I should have pointed out on the air: it was a lady what's been gettin' me to watch this program.

(I've never seen One Tree Hill.)

Well, VM just got cancelled today. I'm sure it was due to someone calling a very popular radio show in the Jersey City area. Thanks a lot, Rick!

I blame the Pussycat Dolls. Those stupid hooers pulled in the stoopid viewers. I will beat those viewers with their Nielsen boxes.  >:( >:( >:(

Well, at least Supernatural got renewed. Oh god, I can't wait for the finale tonight! If you guys haven't been watching it, you should pick up the DVDs. The soundtrack is composed entirely of pre-MTV era music -- mostly '70s rock. Oh man, I love it. You will not hear The Fray, you will not hear Jet, you will not hear Coldplay. You will hear a lot of Foreigner, Blue Öyster Cult, and REO Speedwagon. Wait, hold on, maybe it would be better with some Coldplay... NAH! They play CCR, too! America's Beatles!

PLUS: GOOD LOOKING BOYS HUNTING DEMONS. Seriously, yo.

I have to admit, I'm pretty sad.  Mostly because Veronica herself is very pretty and seems like a nice person and now she will have no job and will probably turn to drugs and crime.

She starred in a remake of Reefer Madness, so she knows the perils of the Marijuana.

it might still get picked up for mid season. So lets hold out hope.

K-Bell is apparently the narrator of the new Josh Schwartz atrocity, Gossip Girl (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gossip_Girl_%28TV_series%29), which was picked up by The CW.

BLAIR? They named one of their characters fucking BLAIR? Are they fucking kidding me? That is so fucking stupid.

Okay, I just read the character descriptions. Yikes.

Detective Vegetarian, why you gotta hurt me that way? That's not cool.  :'(

At the Upfronts, The CW's Dawn Ostoff said Gossip Girl will do for NYC what The O.C. did for Orange County.  Get ready NYC!

Word is, that thing tanked at the upfronts and people are trying to make it seem like everyone loved it from the get-go, but that's not the case.

Well, yeah. That thing looks like a pile of shit.

To be fair, though, I went to a rich kids'/celebrities' kids' prep school for two years before I had enough. That school had more drugs, sex, and scandals than any show on the C-Dub. FACT.

Man, remember when that dope from the Dandy Warhols (shitty name) was on the show doing Karaoke?  ("Love Hurts," no less.) And then a couple weeks later the guy from Spoon was doing same (except it was "Veronica" ho ho ho) and you thought, "Oh no, this is gonna be their THING.  It's bad enough I have to hear that awful song at the top of every episode.  Now I stand a good chance of having to look at the Postal Service jerk do 'Build Me Up Buttercup!'"

I take it all back.  This is PRETTY GOOD.

Hey Rick - great call, man.
I got hooked into watching every episode of the show "Felicity." I liked it, but you're right: it was time that could have been better spent otherwise.

I guess Piz went for the Pitchfork internship (http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/article/record_review/42664-skert)!

Yeah, I read that too. But I thought he wanted to be in Radio! Maybe Piz could get an internship at the Station of the Nation, the Fun 91.

That always baffled me.  It seemed like a lot of back story just to get to the stupid haircut reveal.

The end of that show - my friend calls it "The Timestorm" - was one of the worst ideas in the history of television, and almost unwatchably bad as well.

Congratulations, writing staff!
