Title: FOTpedia
Post by: sharktopus on January 09, 2012, 01:46:09 AM
Is there a reason the FOTpedia isn't around anymore? If it's not kosher to talk about in public I'd be happy for a PM.

I'd like to get it going again and I'm ready and willing to set it up and run it. I used to ran a rather large wiki so I'm well versed.

Also, Tom if you never found anyone to help you fix the Chat, I'd be happy to get it all sorted for you. Just let me know.

If I recall, the FOTPedia succumbed to technical issues.  I was really proud of my Zachary Brimstead entry and would be happy to convert my "Radio Odyssey of Ronald Fuqua" post into one for Hot Rockin' Ronny.

If you can get this going, I would be happy to contribute.  I bet I'm not the only one.

As I've noted before, I'm pretty sure that the existing FOTpedia content is salvageable via archive.org or some other Web-based depot.

I'm happy to donate the massive, "Unofficial Thread of Newbridge Family Trees" to such a project.

Well then, I went ahead and did it. Tom, at any time if you want me to take it down just let me know and it's gone.

If you guys think it should be able to do anything it currently can't, just post here and/or PM me and I'll get the functionality installed ASAP.

Also it looks like the original fotpedia content may still be lurking somewhere in a format I could import directly. If I can get access to it I can probably get the original stuff back up and running. If not then we'll just have to rebuild from scratch.
