Title: help with setting up M-Audio Profire and/or Garage Band

I'm setting up a small home studio and am getting hung up on basic stuff like routing the audio properly through the Profire to the Macbook to the monitors, so that both multitrack recording and playback are all working as they should. Could any FOTs spare a few minutes to answer a few dumb questions via email? Thanks!

I'd be happy to help, but why not just post the questions here?

Also, any reason you're looking to use garage band and not something like ableton live?
