My heavy metal band still uses the site we built in 2002, because it STILL RULES.

I also love the Bob "Ebony Eyes" Welch has a very old-fashioned website that he still updates....mostly with UFO information?!?!?!

I do kind of miss when websites had to have that weird "you are entering another portal of reality" presentation to them. You know what I mean?

Not the same as the band that Lester Bangs liked, I suspect.

Used to be my go-to place before the FOT board.  I show up a bit in some of the debates about the Butthole Surfers and Public Enemy.

I visited Prindle's site for years.  I think I've read every interview he's ever posted.  Hopefully he comes out of retirement at some point.

Holy Moley.  Go check out "Sounds" and "Cartoons." Both are totally awesome and not at all what you'd expect from the site intro.

I knew him a little, a long, long time ago.  Funny guy.  You'd be surprised: I thought he had an odd sense of humor.

I met him once so we could do a pre-arranged vinyl trade-off. I forget what I loaned him (surprising that there was anything of mine that would be of use to him), but he loaned me the Butthole Surfers' "Live PCPPEP".

Can't find it yet (I will check the wayback machine) but an acquaintance of mine was responsible for the page described in this article http://articles.chicagotribune.com/1996-01-26/news/9601270159_1_bob-dole-explode-daniel-burford (http://articles.chicagotribune.com/1996-01-26/news/9601270159_1_bob-dole-explode-daniel-burford)

Only one link on the "Dole Interactive" page still works (if the others ever worked). I wanted to do the crossword puzzle. Now I've got nothing.

This site has a list of a bunch of old websites: http://www.404pagefound.com/ (http://www.404pagefound.com/)

Many of them aren't very interesting, but if you look through the list, you'll occasionally come across something semi-amusing, like this: http://www.randomhouse.com/features/iamjackiechan/ (http://www.randomhouse.com/features/iamjackiechan/)

This is a website from a part of the US that time forgot (the design is pretty retro, too):

http://www.dinkysauctioncenter.com/ (http://www.dinkysauctioncenter.com/)

Also for tech people, a petition to retire FORTRAN that is fresh for '94:
