I saw a TV commerical for this band's latest release and I thought it was a case of life imitating The Best Show.

I then did a small amount of research and realized these guys have been around for years so perhaps Corey Harris and co. might cite them as an influence.

this band Cartel is pulling off a Mother 13-esque publicity stunt, complete with corprate backing

This band his been on blight on my country for ten years now.

When they started, they were called "the Rainbow Butt Monkeys".

SERIOUSLY?!? That might be the worst band name I've ever head. And usually the band name comes after a bunch of songs are written, because at least one person will shoot the name down. This means all the members of that band said, "Yeah, that's a good name. Let's go with Rainbow Butt Monkeys."
