Wonder if he'll talk further about his endorsement this weekend during his appearance on Newbridge Tonight.

What, did Gene gab with Mitt for "about an hour"? (See http://friendsoftom.com/forum/index.php/topic,4075.msg190682.html#msg190682 (http://friendsoftom.com/forum/index.php/topic,4075.msg190682.html#msg190682))

I HAVE NOT ENDORSED MITT ROMNEY FOR PRES.
I suppose the nature of media is, comments are often taken out of context and used for incendiary headline purposes.
I was quoted on Fox as saying I prefer Gov Romney only as far as fiscal economic areas are concerned. And I stand by that comment.
But I have not endorsed either Gov Romney or Pres Obama.
It's no secret who and what I am and what I believe in.
I am socially liberal.
And I am a fiscal and foreign policy conservative.
Translation = I am an American.
That's my political party.
I find both parties lacking in all sorts of areas.
And many Americans agree.
Which is why sometimes Republicans rule the roost. And sometimes Democrats do.
In the last election, literally one minute before I pulled the lever, I voted for Pres Obama. Though in retrospect, I noticed he only had two years of local political experience and had never run a company.
Not the best resume to assume the seat of power of the United States.
I believe he's a good man. Loves his family. And loves America.
But that doesn't mean I agree with his policies.
The next election is coming up and for some reason, both the left and right of the political spectrum are curious who I will vote for.
I have no idea why anyone would be interested in who I would vote for...or for that matter who anyone else would vote for.
I HAVE NOT MADE UP MY MIND.
I have NOT endorsed Gov Romney for President.
I have NOT endorsed Pres Obama for another term as President.
I DO believe Gov Romney has more qualifications (in fiscal economic areas) than our President.
But I have to hear more from both candidates.
I HAVE NOT MADE UP MY MIND.
Gov Romney WILL be the Republican nominee.
Mr. Santorum is unelectable in my estimation.
Mr. Gingrich comes with some baggage that won't work for the women of America.
Mr. Paul has some interesting ideas that seem appealing on the surface, but other ideas strike me as far too idealistic and not very pragmatic.
I want to hear what both Gov Romney and Pres Obama have to say.
And THEN I will pull the lever as my conscience dictates.
In the voting booth.
Privately.
As an American.

Unlike lesser-developed mortals, Gene has the power of voting through telepathy. The actual pulling of the lever is just for show.

He has the amazing power of time travel, but only 1 minute ahead. The power was bestowed upon him by an alien race 4-6 weeks more advanced than ours.

Is it wrong that I laughed hearing the Gene Simmons voice saying his above quote the entire time?
-
Even though it's melodramatic, it's more reasoned than I had any cause to suspect.

Exactly my reading.

Mine too but then I realized that any sane person would have voted against McCain and Palin from day one, not "at the last minute". Also, I don't think that was a lever he was pulling.

"Booth Fun."
