Post by: B_Buster on May 23, 2007, 04:27:19 PM: Did anyone get a chance to talk to Pudge? I ran into him on my way out. He was downstairs reading Cormac McCarthy's The Road. He said he couldn't make it up to the roof because his calf was still smarting from the musket ball he took at Colonial Days. When I asked him what he thought of the book he said, "Idontknow, it's all right, I kinda hoped there was more stuff in there about nuclear winter." He said he was similarly disappointed with Pynchon's book for it's lack of "stuff on hydraulic lift." I ended up missing my last train. No problem. Pudge gave me a ride home in his stretch limo. A strange and fascinating (not to mention enigmatic) young man.

Though I was fine to drive by the end of the night, I hope I wasn't noticeably a douche.

Yeah, the listening party was a "W", but my ability to listen to the Best Show was an "L." I couldn't honestly give an assessment of the Best Show to Tom as well as Hesh does. That's okay! Now I am going to listen to the show archive!

After listening to the archive, I'm relieved to realize that I was only 10% as "festive" as the first guy who called in from the Iron Monkey. (27:00 in - I don't know how to link the archive)

I nominate this exchange for both the recap and the next Kibblesmith video:

Johnny: You're not doing open-mic Tuesdays anymore? I'm a little sad to hear that...
Tom: Eh, it's a sad world.
Johnny: A sad world? Is it just a just you know, just doing a little uh... um, uh, experimenation. I don't know right now.
Tom: Ew boy, I am looking forward to getting over to the Iron Monkey in two and a half hours. (Johnny laughs.)

I didn't want that moment forgotten in the wake of all of the other awesomeness.
