Title: The Company I Keep

I was asked to contribute to a site called The Rap Sheet (http://therapsheet.blogspot.com/). They wanted me to pick a novel that is a bit of a underdog that needs to be rediscovered. Now when it was first offered to me. My mind spun thinking of which novel to pick. Well some of the writers I would have picked have already been mentioned (Charles Willeford, Len Deighton, Richard Stark). Then I thought maybe go the smart ass route picking a book that was so popular it would be only funny to me. You know something like The Maltese Falcon. But I just felt like I got to go for a book that was a pain in the ass to find and so worth the read. It just feels really cool to have my pick up there with authors I read and a fan of.
