Title: THE GORCH
Post by: BrendanW on May 29, 2012, 07:25:00 PM
Hello everyone. I really miss the Gorch. I saw the video of Henry Winkler professing he'd never heard of our beloved friend (which is obviously total BS). If you have information relevant to my interest, please respond.

There are five call-in Gorch appearances:

#1 now exists only on the Chain Fights CD.
#2 he calls in again
#3 he calls in again to talk about Gorchasaurus
#4 he calls in to yell at Leidra Lawson
#5 he calls in with Skag Winesack

Then there's a live appearance.  The week before that he calls to warn Tom - this call lasts less than a minute.

One of the marathon premiums had a Gorch Tour Diary on it.

The Gorch is also mentioned by many other Newbridge-related callers of the Gorch Era Best Show.

http://buffcoat.blogspot.com (http://buffcoat.blogspot.com) has the specific dates.  Happy Gorching!

Thanks you Buffcoat! This is awesome. In terms of hilarity, who compares to The Gorch? I'm pretty into Bryce, especially during the 'wet zone'/poor millionaire era. And whatever happened to Milo?? Still, nothing has ever really made me giggle like Roland Gorchnic.

My favorite character of all time is Zeph Marshack.  I also like Zachary Brimstead, particularly his first call.  And Hot Rockin' Ronny - I would love to see him make a marathon appearance again.  I also recommend the Obama's friend caller from last year and all the Matthew Tompkins calls.  Relatively recent one-offs like Big Bill-Little Bill-Mr. Sherbert, too.  And I like the XFL special, where three show contributors all spun hilarious and aligned tales on one subject.

You really can't go wrong.  I know the earlier calls better because I've listened to them more often, but I will enjoy relistening to the later stuff in the future.
