Tom,
Why do you hate Professor Dum Dum? Is he a dick in real life or something? He's pretty quick with the funnys and plays awesome metal. I enjoy both shows. It's obvious your show is superior, but everyone can't be as bad ass as TBSOWFMU. This makes me sad. You two were buddies in my dream world. :( :( :( :( :-\ ???

It probably has to do with a fill in that Bill did August 6, 2002.

Just in case you missed it.

he told me to stop acting like a "nigger" on IM.

You should have paid attention to that advice.

Can somebody fill those of us whose only exposure to WFMU is the Best Show in on this feud?

Listening to this show has reminded me of how grateful I was when Adrienne (?) stopped calling the show. And what a nice reminder of young Petey, before he got all hep and teenagified (not that I don't still adore the lad, of course).

My impressions were always...
1. Tom is basically a Nice Guy
2. PDD is basically a Shit Disturber
3. The WFMU subculture is filled with goofy mock-feuds (usually, but not always, involving Andy Breckman, Kenny G, or both)
4. Neither Tom nor PDD seems to really mind a few laughs being had at his own expense
But I'm still not Tom, for better or worse. I will henceforth let this thread be the Thread In Which The Kid Speaks For Himself.

Thread locked for The Kid. But hey, I have no authority here so it's all on Emerson.
Good luck, BudE.

Im sorry to burst your bubble, but sometimes your radio favorites legitimately dont like each other. It's a long stupid story, and I plan to tell it very soon.
The Kid dont start fights, but The Kid finishes them.

Help Bill Zebub
Bill Zebub owes a large part of his success to fans who support his unique approach. Fans have made his magazine the #1 death metal magazine in America. Now it is time to channel the same fervor toward his movies.
Here are some ways that you can help.
1. Help Bill Zebub on the Internet.
A) Mention Bill Zebub's movies on message boards everywhere!
B) REVIEW Bill Zebub's movies!
1) Go onto sites like these and search for all of the DVD titles that
you own, and give your honest opinion. You might have to
register for some of these sites.
www.imdb.com
www.amazon.com
www.netflix.com
www.blockbuster.com (and many, many more)
REMEMBER, THE INTERNET IS THE #1 PROMOTIONAL TOOL,
AND ANYONE CAN USE IT.
Even if you only devote 10 minutes a day to help Bill Zebub, it will add up.
2. Ask for Bill Zebub's movies at stores and rental places, and if they don't know what you are talking about, educate them! Tell them they can get the movies from www.musicvideodistributors.com - or they can call there at 800-888-0486
3. Mention Bill Zebub movies in chat rooms.
4. Keep bringing up the names of movies in conversations. Word of mouth is a very strong network. You will be surprised how effective it is.

I, for one, am actually heartened to hear that Tom and PDD don't actually like each other. That means I can stop pretending to appreciate his crappy crappy shtick.

A few years ago, another FMU DJ--who shall go nameless--once told me that he thought Irwin Chusid was a "fascist"...his sheer disdain and hatred for the man was clearly evident.
It definitely burst more than a few of my "bubbles" as far as my belief that behind the scenes, FMU is this great, lovey-dovey utopian society--much like the artwork from the cover of a Jehovah's Witness tract, where Lions cuddle with Lambs and people of all colors rejoice with each other in perfect harmony.
Mark yet another bubble bursted.

I just read a book by and on the writer of the Uncanny x-men and I walked away with the sense that Marvel comics was a workplace, just like any other, filled with jerks and backstabbing, and politic. Everything is complicated.
