Title: Best Show Podcast Requests
Post by: CSW on September 28, 2012, 09:32:55 AM
Dearest Producers of the 2 Best Show Podcasts for iTunes

I have a request which you are free to ignore. I ask from a position of ignorance in terms of how easy or not it is to do and how much work is involved. I mean to be suggestive only, this is not a complaint. Apologies if my description is off but hopefully you'll know what I mean.

Is it possible that the description for the show  is shown in the "main screen" on the podcast page on my phone rather than being text underneath the Show Name? (As is the case for most other podcasts for example Judge John Hodgman works like this)

Previously the text underneath would scroll and you could read it with some patience. Since the iOS 6 upgrade (and the new podcast app replacing podcasts being in the music app) I find that the info text no longer scrolls.

I realise this is a fairly minor thing to be bothered about but I thought I would ask anyway. I greatly value the work you invest for free in doing the podcasts in the first place as due the time difference to the UK I am unable to listen live.

Please and Thanks.

Chris

I'll second this, especially since there's nothing but infrequent playlists in the description field.

Well said. Polite and appropriate. I third this.

You'll have to take it up with the WFMU podcasting support. I'm guessing it's a tagging issue? We don't tag the pods, WFMU takes care of that, we just deliver the raw data (with descriptions separately). So it's out of our hands, really.

I've sent an email to station manager Ken. I'll post an update here if he responds.

Your request worked its way magically along the chain.  Re-download and try again!
