Title: what celebrity would you like Tom to ruin next?

I think Tom should take a break from the celebs and moderate a debate.

If Mitt or Barack gets out of line, Tom "Bad Company"'s them into silence.

Did he really "ruin" Chuck Woolery? It seems that, if anything, the Twitter feud helped his career.

They're all right-wing political jokes, too ("Durrr, Biden couldn't even debate himself, let alone Paul Ryan!"). He sucks so bad. I wish he could be taken down a peg, but he probably thinks too highly of himself to engage in a Twitter feud.

Much as I hate that douche, he seems a little too obvious as a target for Tom. I like the fact that Tom gets into these wrangles with people nobody else has really taken the time to hate all that much. Otherwise I would have suggested Mumford and Sons.

Chuck Woolery doesn't have a fanbase, which would have only made the feud that much better. Anyone remember the episode a few years back when August and Petey got into a feud (well, more Petey trying to start a feud...). Tom interacting with them was the best part, IMO Tom is at his best when talking to kids. Tom Vs. 12 year old Glenn Beck from Canada? Tom Vs. a child star? Potential to be creepy, which is why he'd tear this apart, but the potential is mindblowing.

Hm, interesting question. It's gotta be someone more famous and powerful than Tom (otherwise Tom becomes the bully), but it's gotta be someone under-the-radar a bit. It's hard to find a celeb or public personality who fits in that slot.

Maybe a sports reporting personality? Like a Jim Rome or Al Michaels?

While I actually like most of what Ricky Gervais has done, even his XFM radio show, he has got to be the worst celebrity-whose-stuff-I-like on Twitter. So thin-skinned and petty.

Oh man. My wife is a big fan of his and added Brand X to the DVR when the show premiered. We watched the first episode together in bemused silence (your proposed title is apt. He has an Insane Clown Posse level of wonderment about things that should be obvious), and I noticed that the show quietly disappeared from the DVR queue pretty shortly after.

His heart's in the right place, but oy.

People who are huge libertarians and only hate the Democrats always confuse me.  Is it really only about guns?  And there aren't a lot of big anti-gun people in the Democratic Party, anyway.  I think what they really share with today's GOP is a penchant for hating people.  Loudly.

I'm on the left and I'm OK with people having guns. It just isn't a big thing to me. In general it's really not something that comes up with lefty friends.

Back to Ted Nugent. A Jezebel article on top rightie meltdowns referred to him as 'beef jerky with a wig on it'. And that is how I will think of Ted Nugent from now on, if in fact I think of him.

Right-wingers who are scared of the left about guns are living in the past.  Very few liberals under the age of 60 even register much of an opinion about guns, and, even with a complete Democratic takeover of Congress and the Presidency, I wouldn't think that guns would come up for years.

Of course, the people who listen to right-wing media and politicians seem to enjoy being scared and angry all the time, so it kind of doesn't matter what the subject is.  Logic is not the way we win that fight.

Glad to hear someone else doesn't like Garry (two 'r's' - well dodgy) Shandling.

I never liked It's The Garry Shandling Show because he was/is always licking his lips and when he looked at the camera I always felt he was touching me with his face.

And it wasn't funny.

I have never watched a single episode of Larry Sanders and am proud to have Tweeted to him that he was, is and ever shall be a 'wad'.

Piers Morgan is a Wad of the Highest Order.  I'd love to know what percentage of Tweets he gets that are of two words or under.

Has anyone said Piers Morgan yet?

He's pretty universally reviled over here for his complete lack of knowledge and interest about his interview subjects, his smarmy attitude and his complete lack of shame over his editorship of scurrilous toe-rag tabloid newspapers.

And yet, somehow the guy's a success on both sides of the Atlantic.

I have a friend who through another friend found herself invited to a garden party at his country home.  She said he was the 'perfect host' and a 'true gentleman' who couldn't do enough for his guests.

I maintain that he is a wad.

I do have memories of his old hbo show being pretty good.its strange when achange in political affiliation mkes people feel the need to inject those opinions so hevily into thier work. I dont recall miller championing leftist rhetoric at the expense of humour when he was more on the left side of the spectrum for example. not too long ago i stumbled on a youtube compilation of dennis miller interviewing norm macdonald and it was hilarious. mostly because of norm but millerwas really good at setting him up

Until the weekend the only Alex Jones I'd heard of was the Welsh, rather fetching female co-host of the BBC's dire magazine programme 'The One Show' (Waaan-diddle-dee-Waaaan-diddle-dee-dee). However the other day (can't remember which) 'your' Alex Jones made an appearance on another BBC snooze-a-thon The Sunday Politics.

Ranting and raving about how everything is something and how we're all being confused by the Build-a-Bear group he brought the show down to almost an all time low.

Actually I DO feel a bit sorry for him, he was booked as a guest and then made a fool of in a tawdry way and everyone is entitled to their barking mad opinions.

I love a good conspiracy theory and so I'm going to check to see if he does a podcast but in the meantime I'd like to bring down the curse of 'wad' on Alex Jones - yours, not ours.  She's fit!

This is probably too common of a target, but I would probably say Orpah and her whole crew of charlatans: Dr. Phil, Dr. Oz, etc.

If this were the turn of the 20th Century, they'd all be on the back of wagon trying to peddle us nerve tonic, prognostications, and happiness hats.

I really think they do more harm than good.

I'd love to see a reality show where they are all dropped in the middle of Gobi Desert and they have to use their great self-help and health advice to survive and get themselves out, but they would all band together because they are such great human beings, right?  :)

I’m sorry but once again I’m calling on Tom to bring down the wad rain on Piers Morgan.  He’s just started a new series of his show ‘Piers Pries’ where he asks banal and offensive questions to some of the UK’s blandest nonentities.

On the trailer he says ‘I ask the questions the British Public want answering’ and then there’s a clip of veteran broadcaster Gloria Hunniford talking about the death of her daughter.  ‘As a parent there is nothing worse than losing a child’ Gloria tells M’Organ.

‘The questions the British Public want answering’?  What?  The girl died in 2004 can’t you drop it?  Can’t you let people get on with their lives?  Hunniford has worked in TV and Radio for a thousand years – while not my cup of tea she must have some fascinating stories about her career?  But no, Piers has to trawl through her bereavement and trample like some kind of yobbo through her memories.

And it is for this reason and many others that I respectfully ask for Tom to declare a FatWAD on @piersmorgan

Thanks in advance.

Ben.
