Title: Donate to WFMU today or tomorrow.
Post by: yesno on October 30, 2012, 09:54:03 PM
WFMU's ongoing October silent marathon ends tomorrow, and it is short of its goal.

At the same time, the station has just had to cancel the record fair (a major fundraiser) due to the storm, and may have to pay for transmitter repairs, flood damage, and god knows what else.

So, you should donate: https://www.wfmu.org/marathon/pledge.php (https://www.wfmu.org/marathon/pledge.php)

And if you can find it in your heart, select "no swag" when you donate to save the station money!

This storm came at the worst possible time for WFMU. With the extensive flooding in NJ, I can only imagine the potential damage at station. On top of that, the cancellation of the record fair is terrible.

As Tom says, "if it speaks to you, show your support."

Funds are tight here, but I have two Jay Reatard t-shirts, size large, for anyone who donates to WFMU or a Sandy-relief charity. The white one is from the Shattered Records club edition of 250. I think the black one came from that, too, but I'm not positive. Pick winners at random if enough people step up. Post in this thread or PM me. Honor system. Only downside is that I never wore these.

Donated $50, even though I have pretty much nothing. Am willing to donate blood to get more cash, should they come really close to a shortfall.

Donate!!

Donating now! Does anyone know how big these shirts usually run?
