Title: Van advice sought.
Post by: Jason on June 01, 2007, 02:49:27 PM
So I'm sort of fantasy shopping for a used vehicle but American vans are so different from what I'm used to.
The worst thing is I want something small when everything seems to be so big. Something the size of a mid-size car like this -

I was thinking of an old VW, like the really old split screen or bay window pre-vanagon but even then I think it might be too big. I'm more concerned with width than heigth.
I like older vehicles, particularly in terms of price, style and ease of fixing. Sliding doors are a plus.
I want it to be big enough to get full sheets of plywood in, but also be able to pile some people in the back.

My stepdad had a Chevy Astro; good for hauling but still relatively small.
