Title: Who is the bald guy in this button set?
Post by: Mike Zorman on December 25, 2012, 11:31:26 PM
Just got a wonderful set of Best Show related buttons for my significant other and we are stumped. Who is the bald guy with the moustache? The other buttons in the set are a Gorch, a New B is for LVRS, a GSD, a Radio Hut and a Ye OBB. I'm sure we'll feel dumb when someone answers in 20 seconds, but thanks a lot!

I'm most certain that's G. Gordon Liddy.

The bummer about this is that these buttons are not official - some dude just stole the artwork from a few of the CDs and stuck a couple phrases on other buttons and has been selling them on eBay for years.

Tom.

Who knew?  It's like those cheap Floyd shirts they sell in the parking lot for $10 - don't buy em!  I was just guessing based on the description - I bet the guy used the artwork from New Hope for the Ape-Eared.

The marathon stuff is always of high quality.  One of my favorite pieces of Best Show paraphernalia is the official button with "I hope you die in a car fire" scrolling around the edge.

Oops! I had no idea, even though it seems pretty obvious now that I think about it. Ill destroy the buttons immediately.

Don't destroy them.  They're evidence of a crime.

Ok.  I will contact the CBIU (counterfeit button investigation unit).

At least it's a criminal with taste...
