Title: Danny Phipps from Glass Houses

I listened to the latest Best Show Gem on the Billy Joel tribute acts phone-in/bitch-fight last night.

Who was it that portrayed the swingy "Captain Jack" singer? Their inadvertently nightmareish delivery may have contributed to my disturbed sleep.

It took me a while to figure that out. At first I thought he was just a  regular caller who was just really amazing at playing into the bit. Then I figured out he was part of the bit, then I realized it was H. Jon Benjamin.

When I was in high school my parents liked to take the family to Bennigan's. Some of them had CD jukeboxes. All that had them had Billy Joel's Greatest Hits I & II in the machine. Only a small fraction were not programmed to make "Captain Jack" unplayable.

My favorite part of the bit is that H. Jon is doing his Jason Penopolis voice.
