I saw Joby's Opinion in the recap notes - did Tom play Joby's Opinion last week?

Ironic because I was introduced to "Rock Rot and Rule" by an erstwhile member of Joby's Opinion.  Trivia: the band got its moniker from famous Washington Redskin Joe Jacoby.  That's all I got, other than a copy of "Form Filter."

Another famous Washington Redskin:

55 Chris Hanburger LB 1965-78

Tom didn't spin any JO.  I heard a JO track on last week's Mike Lupica podcast, so I decided to post a song in honor of the three calls from North Carolina on last week's show (Miles, Erin, and Erin's bigamist hubbie Craig).

another famous Redskin:

Charlie Brown, 1983
Actual Stats: 78 receptions, 1225 yards, 8 touchdowns
Adjusted Stats: 100 receptions, 1373 yards, 8 touchdowns

On one of the most dominating teams in Redskins history, it was one of the Smurfs, Charlie Brown, who put up one of the best years in Redskins history. Brown is a great story, going from an 8th round pick to being a Pro-Bowl receiver in his second year. 1983 represented the peak of the Brown’s career as he ranked 6th in receptions, 6th in yards and tied for 7th in touchdowns. Brown’s career declined quickly, and he was out of football by 1987.

Nice shout out to Chapel Hill, the next Seattle... next Austin... next... what?

Kenkwan:

Where did he come up with the additional 22 receptions?

I guess they adjusted the total to today's pass-happy stats. Like when old people say, "yeah, I got 900 on my SAT's, but if I adjusted it to today, it would've been a 1050." And then I'm all like, "Whatever." You know?

According to the new issue of SPIN (Marilyn Manson cover), Chapel Hill is either the next Athens, GA, or the next Western Maine, which is known for its burgeoning kiddie-punk scene (Wolf Babies, The Cubby Holes, Cody Wilson and the Playstations, etc.)
