I realize this is a couple of weeks late now, but did anybody else pick up on the similarities between Quad P and Beatle Bob?

As a St. Louisan, the answer is: yes. All too much. Except for the fact that Beatle Bob doesn't even have a sidecar. And at least Quad P actually puts on shows; Beatle Bob mostly makes all kinds of outlandish claims in order to score free records.

Yes. When I heard the podcast, I instantly thought of Beatle Bob because of the description of Quad P's haircut!

Wow, I'd never heard of this guy. He's either the coolest dude or the biggest douche ever, awfulsome in human form.
There was a guy in london who you'd see everywhere, particularly garage shows. He was tall, stick thin with whispy blonde hair either in a ponytail or pigtails. He always wore these tight leather trousers with a leather devil's tail and he'd do this girly dance, swaying about and slowly turning his head from side to side. He always seemed to be on his own and never socilaised with anyone else although I tried to engage him in conversation a couple of times.
People like this make the biggest cities feel very small.

Yes! I just listened to this podcast over the weekend and thought of Beatle Bob immediately! I used to live in Missouri and would see him all the time at shows in the St. Louis-area. He's quite the character.
I think my fave part of the Quad P call was the description of the popper and that part where Tom starts to laugh when Jon is describing the hardened balls of garbage. Hilarious. See, Beatle Bob never had anything like this though--I think his weapon is his dancing.
