Title: FOT Band Formation in NOVA/DMV?

Posting as a female musician in NOVA/DMV on Craigslist is a scary proposition, so I want to check in here first with like-minds in the area.

Looking to start something in the the area. I play rhythm guitar and bass and sing. I'd like to play with at least a good drummer with a place to practice.

Flexible on sound. Can write original music although fine playing covers. Influences: The Faces, Marc Bolan & T. Rex, VU, Gary Numan, Elvis Costello & Attractions.

As a follow-up:

Dream came true — a fantastic drummer @wildweekend (FOT) and I found each other through this board, and then we found a great practice space in Falls Church with amps and drums.

So, now we need a bassist and a lead guitarist. Any FOT out there? You don't have to worry about amps, just have talent and your instrument.

Musically, think: New York Dolls, Roxy Music, T. Rex, Bowie, VU.

Well, if you lived in N. California I'd ask if you needed a drummer/keyboardist...
