Title: WFMU .rm archives down?
Post by: RonJon on December 21, 2013, 06:25:32 PM
I can't stream any of the old episodes that are .rm file streams anymore.  Anyone else notice this?

I was trying to listen to the archives from the start, and couldn't even get it up and running. When I emailed WFMU, they got back to me super quick and said they're working on converting all those old archives to work on newer systems.

This is exactly what I came here to ask. Would love the have all the episodes in MP3 so I can go back to the start and work my way through.

that sounds like good news from WFMU. Doing so will continue introducing people from outside the area being exposed to their station.

I'm currently streaming and recording mp3 versions of what is in the archive. If there is a demand, i'd be happy to put them in a public dropbox or something (someone else might have a better suggestion).

I'd also like to chime in as someone interested in mp3s!
