Yeah, why not make this stupid thread?
Here is my list:
1) Breaking Bad - Brilliant acting. The plot had a bunch of holes in it -- the ricin poisoning, Elliot and Gretchen not having a top of the line security system, Walt somehow killing all the Nazis before getting killed, etc. -- but whatever. It was entertaining as hell, and those of us who watched it as it was aired had a ton of fun speculating about what would happen.
2) Peep Show -- Funniest show ever. Jez and Mark, Jez the freewheeling sociopath and Mark an uptight, overly neurotic middle-class square, have great chemistry. Super Hans is also an excellent addition - though maybe he's a bit of a ripoff of Danny from Withnail and I? Whatever.
3) Freaks and Geeks - Screw The Wonder Years. This is the definitive show regarding high school, though it had only one season.
4) Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy - An awesome, gritty, realistic Cold War spy story. Better than the film by miles.
5) Enlightened - Why couldn't this have been renewed? Laura Dern is excellent as an idealistic, fairly delusional woman trying to find some meaning in her life after having a nervous breakdown at her job.

Oh shit, I forgot about AbFab. And yet, I do not want to game the rules any more, so here is my revised, game-free list:
Twin Peaks
Car 54, Where Are You?
Breaking Bad
Absolutely Fabulous
SCTV/The Wire/Monty Python's Flying Circus (three-way tie for fifth--D'ohh!)

1. Breaking Bad
2. The Simpsons (Seasons 1-11 or thereabouts)

4. Monty Python's Flying Circus
5a. Mad Men (seasons 1-4 only)
5b. Seinfeld

This is kinda hard. I'm just going to go with what I've rewatched the most.
Letterman (1980s)
Simpsons (seasons 1-4)
Newsradio
The Office (US, seasons 1-4)
Arrested Development (before the Netflix season kinda ruined it forever)
-
In no particular order:
Dr. Katz
I'm Alan Partridge
Kids In The Hall
Breaking Bad
Tim & Eric Awesome Show Great Job
Runners up:
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
The Simpsons
Party Down
Freaks & Geeks
(and as much as I am embarrassed to admit it) Justice League/Justice League Unlimited and other DC Animated Universe shows
-
Always sunny was an also-ran for me
-
I'm sure I'm forgetting something
1 - St. Elsewhere
2 - Mystery Science Theater 3000
3 - Letterman (The Chris Elliott years)
4 - SCTV
5 - Arrested Development (Yes, I am the weirdo that liked the Netflix season)
Close behind these was Ralph Bakshi's New Adventures of Mighty Mouse from the late 1980s.
I really wanted to include "Quark" but haven't seen it since 1978...I have a feeling it hasn't held up too well.
I'm kind of surprised that The Sopranos has not shown up on anyone's list yet.
I enjoyed Breaking Bad, but only started watching it with the final episode, and watched it in reverse order, so I can't count it.
