Title: I missed a W
Post by: Sarah on June 20, 2007, 10:06:10 AM
Crap.  Stupid cable (my connection was down).

To make up for my absence, I had a Best Show-related dream last night.  Not only did I wear several changes of FMU/BS garb that doesn't even exist, but I received in the mail a seven-CD collection featuring a series of calls that took place over the course of who knows how many shows.  Woke up before I started to listen to it, though.  I wish I could remember who the caller was.

While having a Best Show-flavored dream is a tad sad, it made a pleasant change from the meat that's been haunting my sleep every since I started feeding my beasts raw last week.

P.S. Just completed the archive, so now I know there's to be no show next week.  Cripes.

We were wondering where you were! Do you have Adelphia up there? Or Comcast?

Sarah, you should have called. The chatters were worried and I had no reassuring answers for them.

I can just imagine Tom's reaction if I had called the show simply to let the chat know why I wasn't dribbling out my awkward contributions.  Of course, I suppose I could have used you as my social secretary.  Neither occurred to me, truth be told.

Laurie, I have a connection from something called Pine Tree Cable.  It has its frailties, but it's the only option around here.

Cable made from pine trees? I can't see any potential for problems there.

Listen, if I could have chosen cedar, I would've.

North Carolina is the Pine State - is Maine the Pine Tree State?

Don't make us fight you like we're fighting Ohio over the Wright Brothers, or like we're fighting Georgia over who had the First State University, or like we're fighting South Carolina over where Andrew Jackson was born.

To replace the wussy Latin state motto - Esse Quam Videri - I propose the following: "North Carolina - we'll fight you over anything, no matter how little it matters!  Screw you!"

Maine = the Pine Tree State.  Motto:  Dirigo.

North Carolina can but follow.

Stan, I love you.

 I'm speechless.

Listen, if I could have chosen cedar, I would've.

Your cable company should retain you as a consultant. Cedar just makes more sense for this application.

Hey, that's a guy I don't want to have dinner with.

Well, some people in North Carolina fight to make sure he was born in South Carolina.
