Letterman was my favorite thing in the world back in the 1980s. I was super excited for him to be on 11:30, but after the switch I think I stopped watching after about three months. Maybe I just finally grew out of it, but it seemed like the theater was too huge and the audience too enthusiastic. How could anyone tell if they were funny or not if you got cheering no matter what you did? (Fallon is keeping the audience small but there's still way too much cheering) Also, big time guests are boring as hell.

Anyway, I don't think people give Colbert credit for how super weird he is. I'll be sad if his new show is boring.

Just saw his L&O: Criminal Intent episode last night.
