Forgive if this has already come up, but in 1986 comedian Joe Piscopo (then at the height of his popularity) was given the green light to produce a one-off comedy show called "The Joe Piscopo New Jersey Special". It's ok, kinda funny, kinda not funny, depending on your piscopo tolerance, but it deserves some kind of footnote in the Best Show pantheon as the first (albeit tongue-in-cheek) comedic celebration of the Garden State.
