Post by: awww damn on June 27, 2007, 02:56:57 PM: thank you for this monster recap. this was such a good and funny show, one of the best i can recall. i called in with ray manzarek, but i couldn't agree more with the person who said annie leibowitz. yesterday i saw this month's vanity fair with bruce willis and she had photographed bruce willis vacationing on the beach with no shirt on and WEARING A SARONG. i couldn't believe my eyes. lars ulrich and gene simmons were really good ones too.

anyway, i thought about manzarek yesterday when all these webcasters were silent because i remember he once said something not too long ago about "artists and corporations working together in the 21st century will the true Age of Aquarius." it just amazes me that one person can be that corny for most of their life.

Because he apparently does use a grown-up camera and not an Instamatic. I hate that creep. He's as ugly and creepy as he is untalented and lecherous.

This post is purely for the folks who haven't read the three other posts I've made on this board wherein I air my discontent for Terry Hackerson (yeah, I'm no Spike with the disparaging nicknames). Don't let Omar mislead you. I demand an asterisk.

I remember talking about what kind of camera he uses in the chat, but I think I might of said olympus instead of yashica.

Also, do you believe Lee Fucking Jeans -- jeans I looked down my nose at as a little girl simply because it was available for purchase at JC Penney's, the poor man's department store -- actually paid that slut to do photos for their ad campaign? Where did they advertise? Barely Legal? 4Chan?

Post by: Emily on June 27, 2007, 08:24:53 PM: I dont have an opinion about this guy beyond my approval of his choice in camera. That Yashica has a Carl Zeiss lens. It's super duper sharp. Contax either bought or merged with Yashica, but Contax continued with the 'model-T' and I was lucky enough to get myself an almost new T3! It's an incredible camera, I highly recommend one if you're not too inpatient for film. Super sharp prints all the time.

i had to look even though i decided awhile ago that terry richardson was vile...some of those comments on the flickr pics are just as obnoxious. "TR always gets the babes!"

anyway, i listened to this one again on the commute home and laughed really loud and sudden when Scott T did his hypothetical John Stossel reacting to Carlos Mencia impression at the dinner table and all these people on the train looked at me. man that was so good

awwwdrey's was my favorite call by far. have you seen the ray manzerek 'official' website? it's full of all kinds of things like, Ray's audio clip of the week, Ray's family photo album, Ray's web links for the week, and even yoga tips. Ray Manzerek wants to be your yogi.

Ray called in like 45 minutes late, wouldn't answer any questions because he was just shilling for some rock documentary that people had to see to find out answers to the questions, and Jonesy just hung up on him. Nice.
