Speaking of Mr. Simmons, in the liner notes of Omnivore's new reissue of The Muffs' Happy Birthday To Me, Mr. Ronnie Barnett states that Mr. Simmons once broke down the track "Outer Space" into "technical musical language [he] didn't understand," poked him in the chest, and said, "That song is a hit! KROQ will be all over that one!"
