Title: For Film Enthusiasts
Post by: flooney on June 20, 2008, 10:46:55 AM
My name is Flooney, I'm fond of music, movies and anything that has something to do with art. I'm a creative person by the way who is always focus to go after my dreams. I love making friends too and I hope to meet new interesting people here to share my passion. My ambition to become a filmmaker made me check out good filmschools in Asia.
My mom talk me out of filmmaking and into something more secure like accounting or computers! If you have
the heart of an artist though, nothing is going to change your ambition. With that said, filmmaking is lots of fun, rewarding,
and most of all…… fascinating!
I choose the school that provides international standard and top of the line equipments. I think there are also some people here who also love what I'm into. Well, I'm pretty sure you guys are familiar with the International Academy of Film and Television. (http://filmschool.ph)

Now now, let's hear the man out... He obviously knows Britney Spears well enough to photograph her at their many water-ballon fights. Someone this connected is doing something right.

Hi everyone,

For you to have a peace of mind, I had changed my avatar. That's the real beauty that I have.
I'm so sorry if you think that I'm posting a spam thing. To make this clear, I'm a human being, alive and kicking, I have emotions and most of all, I have intellect that can understand your post.
I joined to stay here for good, share things that I knew and learn new heaps here that are useful for my career.
Hope this is clear. Hope you won't judge me as what I am not.
Thanks,

Flooney,

I'm having a crisis right now. It concerns movies. I consider myself a film enthusiast, but the last two movies I've seen in theaters, with friends who encouraged me to go with them, have just sucked ass beyond belief. I can read movie pages and I can go on my own to see movies that friends and loved ones don't want to see with me. However, I think I need to have my faith in the cinema renewed. Do you have any movie recommendations?  Please, please help. I really thought this thread would address this question directly, but instead it has veered into very unexpected directions. Flooney, please help me. What movies should I watch now?

In all seriousness -- all kidding aside -- I too am a creative individual who has worked in professional jobs that help pay the bills quite nicely but don't provide very much career satisfaction. So if you are really sincerely seeking a career in a creative field, I sympathize with you and strongly suggest that you follow your dreams, regardless of the expectations that your parents or loved ones may have. It may not be easy, but may make your life a lot easier and more rewarding over the long term.

What were the movies?  You can't tell a story like this and leave out the most intereting part!

One, I know, was The Happening.

Now I'm really embarrassed.   The other movie was 27 Dresses.  Please don't judge me for walking into that theater.  I was trying to prove that I was not judgmental.

yeah, buffcoat, exactly, you'd think that a wife/girlfriend had forced me to see it, but even that didn't happen ... that only adds to my puzzlement and dismay at having seen that piece of $%^& movie

Dear Flooney!

I have two questions in initial for you.

a) Which of the five films that exist are you considering your favorites, and arguments of support?

b) Which of the five things about the Best Show with Tom Scharpling on WFMU are you considering your favorites, and arguments of support?

Copacetic!,
