Title: For the Record
Post by: masterofsparks on August 18, 2008, 03:40:01 PM
This is a pretty cool short documentary about record store culture. It's about 7 minutes long but worth your time if you enjoy the experience of going to a store to buy music.

Did Thurston Moore haul his record collection into one of the stores for an interview?

My college roommate wrote for the campus radio station's magazine about Schoolkids Records' staff:

"Do you think the people who work here are cooler than you?  Because they do."

I bet Jon Wurster (as a [former?  I heard he moved to NYC] Chapel Hill music scene resident) has spent some significant time there.

They didn't show the Sun Ra section in the video so I can't be sure.
