When he told the audience they were all nit-pickers, my connection froze for a brief second midway through that term, creating some remix racism that made me drop my jaw until I rewound it.

I really respect and admire Mr. Hodgman for just going for it. Not that I would expect anything less from him, but it seemed kind of uncomfortable at times and it couldn't have been easy.

I don't recall ever watching it all the way through, but I checked and sure enough his closing remark to Obama is from Spock's death scene in Star Trek II.  Perhaps someone at one of these dinners in the next 4 years will sneak a "kneel before Zod" into their routine.
