(Not making light of this story, FWIW, I hope it turns out ok. Just kind of a crazy turn of events)

This probably says a lot about me but after seeing who that dad is, i instantly thought "publicity stunt". I feel a little sick to my stomach when I think about losing a kid, though.

When I was growing up, kids would actually go to space in their homemade rocketships.

This balloon kid is an embarrassment.

There's six year old doing crystal meth somewhere in America right now, but this is on the news because he was on the TV.

I agree. There should be more footage of six year-olds on speed on TV.

You're too abstract for me, Jose.

Now that Balloon Boy is old news, can we walk about Butter Boy? -

What a depressing ending to the story. Apparently the Balloon Boy's parents were so angry that they've decided to put him in a foster home.  :(

Since we're talking bad parenting, should I take my 4 and half year old, Hawk, to see the Where the Wild Things Are?

No comment on the balloons, Fletch?

You are welcome though.

I'm sure you morning was set right.  I predict you'll have a day in the top 10% of days you can remember.
Let me know that I am right.

These parents didn't lock their kid in an attic and sacrifice their precious balloon just to lose their Today Show interview because somebody's got an upset tummy. That's not how you get a reality show.

What is your reality, Taco?

Does it have anything to do with television?

If so I may not know what you're talking about.
