One of my favorite books when I was a kid (my father gave it to me for Christmas when I was 10).  That cartoon doesn't do it justice at all.

I remember that movie when it came out.  I may or may not have seen it but I remember the claymation style.

So this is what the California Raisins were selling, huh. No wonder they were a creepy anthropomorphic Motown band.
