Special shout out to FOT AndrewVDill, whom I met at the gathering.  Andrew works in a bookstore and came across a rare find - a signed copy of the God of Thunder's history of prostitution.

AvD, recognizing me as a true Simmonsologist, sent me the book!

I have yet to receive any free stuff from Andrew V. Dill. This greatly disappoints me.  :(

You are very welcome, buffcoat.  I see great stuff all the time, folks.  If I know your interests and see something that fits the bill, I am more than happy to send it your way.  None of you are getting my pristine, hardcover copy of Learned Pigs and Fireproof Women, though.  That was a treasure found at a price that I could not believe.

don't even tell me how cheap it was, it will break my heart.  ok, tell me, i have to know!

edited to add:  I worked in a used bookstore for 13 years (and still work for the company) so i hear/tell these kinds of stories all the time.

i support this thread because AndrewVDill is one of my FAVORITE PEOPLE EVER IN THE WORLD.

But really, that was so nice to send that book, which sounds.....epic.
