The star of the Halloween franchise and the daughter of the woman stabbed 80+ times in Psycho thinks that the internet has blurred the line between reality and fantasy, and that violent images made so readily available diffuses their horrible impact.
She's very worried that we're all turning into violence voyeurs. She closes the piece with a bible quote, which is how you know she's dead serious. Lefties going to the bible in an argument is like Defcon 1.

I saw that too, though didn't make the connection of her violent moive resumé until you did... However, I have been noticing that Huff Post seems like a soft core porn site more than a leftie blog, replete with nude photos and nipple slips of semi celebs and of course tons of Tiger Woods "coverage."
I don't know if you remember it but there was a similar atmosphere in the "media" world surrounding a certain Lewinsky scandal and impeachment debacle... Then media got all "serious" after 9/11, at least until Jon and Kate.

She is just mad at the internet for that rumor about her being a hermaphrodite from a couple years ago.
All I know is after hearing that, I could never watch True Lies the same way again (which was with the Spanish commentary track on).

That's a really old, pre-Internet rumor. What was that other thing she was mad at a few years ago? Tom talked about it extensively on the show.

I think she was mad at reality TV. Her and Spike are fighting a brave, lonely fight against reality TV.
