The girlfriend and I will be there HOPEFULLY WITH FOOD PENS!
http://www.sugarcraft.com/catalog/coloring/pens.htm

"Boost up picnic food, coloring and writing on hot dog and hamburger buns is so much fun, potato chips and tortilla chips also work well. Create a 4th of July hot dog bun!"

"send a greeting on a lunch sandwich, bread, bagel, cheese & crackers."

Food pens! I think this might be the show when PFT realizes what freaks he has surrounded himself with -- a whole roomful of people in Brooklyn screaming "WHERE'S SAUL?" and "HELICOPTER RIDES!" and other such nonsense.

I will be one of those people. Except that I will be listening and laughing respectfully.

The last words he'll hear before his mind explodes "'Scuse me, mr. Tompkins, can you sign my pie with my "Food Doodler?"

Oh GOD DAMNIT.

If the internet is to be believed, you can start a fund on kickstarter for a ticket and it will go all viral and social and then you'll have monies. C'MON INTERNET.

SO, any chance we could meet up a little early to get a drink at the Bell House or local establishment?
Title: Re: Sound off, PFTers!
Post by: Christina on June 09, 2010, 09:26:53 AM
Yeah, people should go early - the Bell House is nice 'n accomodating. There's the front bar area and then the area in the back where the performances are, so depending on when doors open, we should head over there.

Would that be Ministrix? There isn't really a female equivalent of Minister, is there?

I am hereby appointing Auntie Christina as the FOT Minister Of Fun, New York Division.

And what position, may I ask, do YOU hold that you can appoint Fun Ministers with nothing more than a web forum edict?

Yours in the bowels of God,
Jon
FOT Viscount of Male Pattern Baldness, New Jersey Division

I think getting nominated for a Best Show Award means that Christina can do whatever she damn well pleases for 30-60 days. Fun Minister/Ministrix is still too bland, we need something with words/phrases like "ultimate" "chump-destroyer" "supreme" "summoner" and maybe "Northwest Brooklyn Region".

Makes perfect sense. I withdraw my question.

You are so cute when you assert yourself.

I just imagined you knocking Mike over.

Now you're even cuter.

Lady Minister.

Bryan is correct. Adding "Lady" to the front of all occupations and avocations is the correct and preferred way to feminize the term. In this specific case, Wominister and Minist-her are no longer considered appropriate.

One more thing -- we should take a bunch of photos for Matt Fraction's thing while we're waiting for the show. I'll bring a camera, prepare your mosh faces.

Can someone remember we need to pour a little Voss water out on the ground for our FOT brethren who can't be in attendance tonight?

Please pour a little bourbon out for me but when you do, make sure if falls in someone's mouth. Paul already thinks I am a coward and I certainly don't want him to think I am wasteful too. Or dead.

Two dumb questions I could probably look up myself:

1) How is the seating there?  My wife is very pregnant and I'm not gonna go without her.

2) Is it sold out yet?  Tickets are no longer available online.  If I have a chance of getting in, it's worth it to schlep it to Gowanus, but I'm worried about getting turned away (see item #1).

I'm glad I got to meet everyone that I did, and sorry for anyone that I did not meet (or didn't put two and two together). There was an awesome FOT turnout. Hopefully I'll catch you all again the next time I'm up in the city... And what a show, between the goofin' and the jokin' he proved why he's tops.

I did, but got there too late. Someone was taking a photo of PFT and he pointed out that he'd rather they not videotape it, since he might like to actually make money off his set sometime in the future. Grand idea.

What is Paul F Tompkins, METALLICA?

Dear Tom, that was a joke.
