So there’s a number of people coming in special for this thing – Lisa Jane Persky (and her husband Andy), Mackro, & David in DC (aka Dorvid, Barry Egan, etc). Anybody else coming from out of town?
I’m taking a volunteer shift, likely Sat morning, and then plan to be around for the whole thing on Saturday. Who’s going and which day? Do people wanna head to a drinking establishment Sat night, like we did last year?

I reached a bunch of people more easily over on FB & there's def something brewing, looks like for Saturday. We'll figure out a spot to head to afterwards - at least a dozen people are in for whatever we decide to do. PM me w/your number if you want to keep in touch.

I think all of the From Maplewoods will be attending on Saturday.
Question: I have usually gone on Friday nights or Sunday mornings. How insane is the crowd scene on Saturday? Will there be a line to get in? Standing room only during Terre T's show? Thanks.

Saturdays are usually packed, but not intolerably so.
Sad to miss most of you, but I'll be volunteering at the ticket booth Friday and then helping break down Sunday. I'm no serious collector, so I'll probably do my shopping among the Sunday afternoon dregs. Hope to see some of you anyway.

Also, I will hopefully have button nametag things for FOT that want them. Free, so don't be a munch and hoard them.

I have the same questions.
I did the door shift on Saturday from 330-7 last year, and there was a line for most of the time I was there.
My experience re the performance area is that it gets crowded during the live sets, but its more prom dance-floor crowded, not ABC No Rio crowded.

Just bought my Panache Booking ticket i.e. Ty Segall and tons of other folks
It came out to just under $15 after fees and what not. That said, I'm not tied to going to this show if something else comes along that's FOT-mandatory. Fun with you guys >>> rock show.

My vote on Saturday night, fwiw - we all end up at Harold Blvd's place in Greenpoint. If that's too complicated, we do karaoke somewhere in the east village.

Boulevard Tavern is about a mile from the Knitting Factory. We can pick up a few eight balls in McCarren on the way.

Maybe not on Saturday, but I have to go L&B at least once this weekend. Whenever is fine with me. I will miss my flight for L&B.

Yeah, you will be able to take pics - also it's one big room, but it's not like Comic Con sized. So don't worry, we'll find you!

I should be there for most of Saturday afternoon afternoon and will be one of the 200 people standing outside of where Terri's show is, cursing that I couldn't get in.

The crüe I was in went to Steak Frites (which has good vegetarian/dairy options.) such a fun night.
Very likely I'll come back to the Fair again today, since I haven't made lunch plans yet.

So, this happened.
This was easily the best time I've ever had in NYC. I hope to come back in the spring. Thank you all. (I will be thanking you individually when time allows.)

Oh I love it too. I have probably seen it five times and it still makes me laugh like a buffoon. It's just that I get kind of an icky feeling sometimes watching it...like I dare not think too much about the premise.
