Looking forward to more Greg episodes. He's easily my favorite human character. And that voice, man.. Tom's perfect for the role. I'm so glad SU introduced me to the Best Show via Tom's voice acting.

While we are waiting for more episodes (because they decided to hold off until September), let's talk psychology, as in which character needs it the most on that show.

The Walking Wounded

Pearl: When you have autistic people thinking that this character is one of them, then the writers have done an excellent job. I actually don't think Pearl is autistic, just tweaked from ancient PTSD, wracked with unresolved grief over Rose Quartz, throwing herself into Steven's upbringing after ages of feeling rudderless while at the same time fighting her caste programming. She needs decades on the couch, but one gets the impression that Gems don't have psychiatrists.

Amethyst: The overlooked wreck. Puts up a massive front, but loathes herself due to her background. Possibly envies Pearl and Garnet for knowing the Gem Homeworld firsthand. Needs acculturation into her own culture just as Pearl needs time understanding human culture.

Ronaldo Fryman: The only human on this part of the list for good reason; he's frikking delusional. Like Alex Jones and David Icke in the body of a teenager, walking proof that if you are going to research conspiracy theories, you have to remain grounded. Ronaldo needs some time in an institution.

I just finally caught up and holy cats, I was not emotionally prepared for how deep and rich this show got. When I first started watching it it just charmed and thrilled me, now it regularly makes me weep. It's incredble.
Wailin' the eff outta that vibraslap!
