There's a documentary about Gilbert out there that is unexpectedly very moving, despite his public persona.

I cannot find it, but hear for yourself where he describes reaching Ron Suskind's son - he reaches Suskind's child who might otherwise have been unreachable. Yeah, I teared up. So what.
